Pretty Pippa Please…!

Royal rumor has it that sister and maid of honor Pippa Middleton may have looked better than Her Royal Highness Kate Middleton.  Looking sun-kissed and stunning in her ivory, fitted dress the etiquette questions that are being raised are:

Is it proper that the maid of honor where white?

Most importantly was the dressed really made from the same material as Her Royal Highnesses dress?

According to the Royal Wedding website the dress was made “of a heavy, ivory satin-based crepe, with a cowl front and with the same button detail and lace trims as the Bride’s dress”.  Made by the same designer (Alexander McQueen’s Sarah Burton) that made Kate’s dress we need to question if this untraditional move took away from Kate’s debut or if it enhance the whole experience?

In our opinion she still had one of the best roles—escort of the adorable flower girls that were dressed in dresses by Nicki MacFarlane, designed to mimic Kate’s dress and the honor of carrying the embroidered train of Kate’s dress.  Maybe surrounded by the cutest flower girls is why it was hard to keep our eyes off of Pippa but we have to ask: did she complement or overshadow Her Royal Highness? What do you think?
