Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert’s wedding and reception on May 14th, 2001 is a perfect example of the importance of having a wedding that is reflective of you, your style and your taste. The country music power couple kicked up their boots (literally) and celebrated their marriage with approximately 550 of their closest friends and family.
Reba McEntire, Martina McBride, Kelly Clarkson, Josh Kelley, Katherine Heigl, and Dierks Bentley were just some of the guests who attended (and performed at) the couple’s country-themed wedding at Don Strange Ranch just outside San Antonio.
At Andrea’s Fashions we know that the importance of finding the perfect dress for you, whether it be wearing your mother’s dress for sentimental and traditional reasons or going at it on your own to find your own dress. No matter what the case is it is vital to have the gown tailored to you, your style and your needs. This is exactly what 27-year-old-Miranda did when she decided to say “I do” in her mother’s simple, ivory wedding gown that she had tailored and personalized to her style and needs. Although it is not our first choice of footwear, Miranda stuck with her Southern Belle roots and coupled her wedding dress with custom-made cowboy boots. All eyes remained on Miranda when she changed into a stunning, short, strapless silk shantung Priscilla of Boston dress for the reception.
Keeping up with the entire country themed wedding the new Mr. and Mrs. Shelton walked back up the aisle after the wedding ceremony to the classic Roy Rogers’ song, ‘Happy Trails,’ and it is on that note that we at Andrea’s Fashions wish the new couple a happily-ever-after life filled with happiness and good-ole country love.
