High heels – The Shoes Guys Actually DO Notice

I could hear her coming from a long way off.

It was the high heels.

It was that unmistakable sound of a slow-walking woman clicking on a hard surface.

Of course I had to look up from the magazine I was reading at the coffee shop.

That sound just commands attention.

Did you know the use of high heels dates back to the ancient Egyptians and on through the Romans, Greeks, Venetians, etc. to modern times?  High heels were even worn by men at different times, sometimes for fashion, and sometimes for practical reasons like keeping their feet in the stirrup of a horse. But it’s the look on women that seems to be a constant: the appearance of longer, more toned, and slender legs.

Of course, it doesn’t hurt that they make her butt and breasts stick out a little further…

Whatever the pros and cons of wearing high heels are, I am here to tell you that they have definitely entered the conscious and sub-conscious minds of men as a very sexy shoe.

To men, high heels on women are like the icing on the cake, the final touch on a masterpiece, the three-pointer winning basket for your team in the last second of the game.

So go ahead… I am here to tell you to polish off your perfect outfit with a pair of sexy heels. There remains no reason you should feel limited in your options to look your best.  There are many styles available:  cone, kitten, and prism, spool, stiletto and wedge…so you can rest assured that myself and all men will take notice no matter what your choice. However it is important to always remember that nothing says “un-sexy” like a woman who can’t walk in heels, is visibly uncomfortable or literally wobbles.  So take your time, try out what works best for you and when you do find the perfect (comfortable) heels remember it’s not the clicking of heels that makes us turn our heads; it’s the appreciation and anticipation of accentuated beauty.

Whether you are a man or a woman…what are your thoughts on women’s high heels?
